On 23 August 2025, the Rotary Club of Zimbali was honoured with one of Rotary International’s most prestigious recognitions—the Rotary Citation, awarded under the leadership of Immediate Past President Julie Cloete. This award reflects a year of strong leadership, engaged membership, and meaningful impact aligned with Rotary’s global goals.

The Rotary Citation is not just a certificate—it is a symbol of excellence. It recognises clubs that demonstrate outstanding performance in areas such as membership growth, foundation support, public image, and sustainable service. Under Julie’s guidance, our club embraced a clear strategy and consistent action, delivering impact that went beyond expectations.

At a special meeting to acknowledge the achievement, President Fidel Okillah praised his predecessor’s leadership and the collective effort of the club. “This citation is a celebration of what we can achieve when we lead with purpose and serve with heart,” he said.

In her response, Julie expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasised the spirit of teamwork that made it possible. “This was never about one person—it was about what we achieved together as a club,” she shared.

The Rotary Citation stands as a milestone in our club’s journey—one that reminds us of the power of shared vision, strategic focus, and service above self.
