Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase the levels literacy.
Over 400 students have benefited from the education programs.
The club in partnership with the Ilembe health department has funded seven surgery camps between 2011 and 2019 at the Stanger and Maphumulo hospitals, where a total of 1004 cataract surgeries have been performed.
Another camp is comming soon.
Summerhill House is a registered NPO, whose sole vision is to provide homes for and care for orphaned children who have been directly affected by the HIV Pandemic. The Rotary Club of ZImbali has been supporting this organisation on an ongoing basis since 2011.
Education is a key pillar for the club and since inception in 2010 over 440 students have benefited from education scholatships.
